INTEG is Expanding!

Eight control system standards were introduced or substantially revised between 2023 and 2026. The four that matter most to system integrators are ANSI/ISA-112.00.01-2025, which gives SCADA its first dedicated lifecycle framework; IEC 62443-2-4:2023, which sets cybersecurity requirements for the integrators and service providers themselves rather than for the products they install; IEC 61131-3:2025 Edition 4, the first major revision to PLC programming languages since 2013; and IEC 61512-1:2026, which replaces the 1997 batch control models. Alongside them sit IEC 63303:2024 for HMI design, IEC 62381:2024 and IEC 62382:2024 for testing and loop checks, and ANSI/ISA-95.00.01-2025 for enterprise-to-control-system integration.

Remote boreholes, unreliable connectivity and costly site visits made groundwater hard to manage across the Greater Karoo. INTEG linked each site using PLCs, telemetry radios and a cloud-based SCADA platform. Operators now get real-time visibility, automated pump control and water balance reporting from any browser. That helps drought-affected towns cut costs and protect their water supply.
